This machine offers everything you would expect from a modern premium-class sliding table saw: three controlled axis and a user friendly 145mm touch screen control for precise setting of the blade height, angle and cutting width in seconds.
Control with Built-in Future Proofness
Starting with the control and drive components of the T74, we consistently make use of modern industry standards that are subject to ongoing development and make the machine future-proof. This includes the vendor-independent CoDeSys programming system, the powerful CANopen bus system for the drive control, the USB interface, the stable Linux operating system, and the touchscreen with standard PowerPC processor.
Pressure-Sensitive Touchscreen Control
Simply enter the required measurements for the cutting width, height, and angle – the control unit will then accurately position the selected axis. Moreover, intuitive menus provide step by step assistance for complex processes while the integrated calculator can be used for required calculations.
Two saw blade guards are supplied to enhance dust removal while in operation and the control system actively monitors the maximum tilt angle appropriate to the guard fitted and avoids accidents and damage to the guard or rip fence. When making mitre cuts with a tilted blade it is often necessary to make the cut in relation to the upper edge of the workpiece using the control panel you can enter the thickness of the workpiece to the menu, then the electronic system will then compute the tilt angle, the workpiece thickness and position the work stop accordingly.
Mitre Cross-Cut Table for Precise Angle Cuts
This table makes your machine an efficient, perfect angle-cutting tool that is also perfect for compound mitre cuts. The table can be adjusted from +46° to -46° with a resolution of 0.01°: depending on the execution, the required length compensation is performed with electronic support or fully automatically.
The SprintLock system enables changes of the main saw blade and the scoring blade – without locking the saw arbour. On all T74 machines, the speed can easily be changed by means of a user-friendly opening in the machine table. With the optional variable speed control you can easily and perfectly set the speed with the push of a button and adjust the speed even more precisely.
Rip Fence
Even with high workloads, the highly precise, lowerable rip fence with wear-free grooved ball-bearing guide ensures precise light-action operation and a high level of angle precision over the entire cutting width. Moreover, the rip fence smoothly glides over the table, unaffected by dust and chips.
Cross-Cut Fence
The most prominent characteristics of the highly precise two-point cross-cut fence with large profile cross-section are the smooth motion of the ball-bearing-supported fence carriage and the standard fine adjustment of the stop element, which ensure accurate measurements. On request, the cross-cut fence is also available with mitre cuts.
RadioCompens System
For precise diagonal cuts, the cross-cut fence requires length compensation, which is automatically taken care of by the RadioCompens system. By way of the bus line, the mitre cross-cut table transmits the angle information to the control, which sends the calculated compensation measurement to the cross-cut fence displays, in which the respective cutting measurements appear immediately.
Sliding Table
The T74 makes use of an advanced form of the proven, highly precise Martin sliding-table guide system. Table lips damaged by large, deviating saw blades can be replaced quickly and easily.
Classical Options
If you need to process large panels, you can use the optional multi-purpose table, whose two stops can be moved parallel to each other. Even large, long workpieces can be positioned precisely parallel and cut perfectly. The scoring blade option makes a definite impact on the quality of the cut when using expensive laminated boards. Select either the 2-axis system where scoring height and right/left position can be adjusted with the machine in operation but the kerf is only adjustable with the machine stationary. Or the patented Martin 3-axis system, where all axis, even the kerf can be adjusted while the machine is running.
